Last week I went to a nearby forest to take a few pictures, which would hopefully sent across the “autumn vibe”. 🙂
Even though I don’t like posting anything without a lot of accompanying words, these pictures are quite self explanatory. There’s really no need to bury you in an avalanche of words to describe them to you, so here are the pictures without further ado!
Uh no wait… this picture is getting me all confused! It’s still winter for a few more weeks, but it sure didn’t feel that way when I saw this last Wednesday when I was visiting the little town of Bergen.
I knew a TV show would be there to shoot a DIY “On Tour” special and since it was such a nice day, I decided to go and have a look. They were filming in front of this ruin church and I noticed the field in front of it was covered in flowers. I know we broke a few records this winter, but apparently nature jumped right in and decided to start spring early this year and join the party. 🙂
Here are some of the other pictures I took during my short visit.
I know that I’ve been asking for snow and I would still like to see it fall, but when the weather is this good I just need to go out and embrace it! That’s why I decided to go skating to the lake for a change of pace.
This fishing trawler from Belgium has become quite famous in a short amount of time here in the low countries, when it stranded in the Netherlands a couple of days ago. After rescuing the men on board by helicopter at night and trying to keep it from sinking last Thursday, today the time had finally come to try and get it free and back into the water after repairment. Unfortunately the ropes snapped during this operation and they have to try again tomorrow morning.
Nevertheless, this boat has become a very popular photography-subject and since it’s close to home, I just had to take some pictures! Continue reading →
Sorry for not being very active on this blog the last couple of days, but I’ve been very busy with designing / creating 3D stuff and I’m not very goodhorribly bad, in dividing my attention. And when I’m in hyperfocus mode other things start to pile up even more then usual. Although I always feel completely organised myself… the growing mess around me seems to imply something else. Then at some point the OCD button get switched on (I actually think it’s always on, but the button can be difficult to find sometimes in the chaos) and then my focus will shift to tidying up, cleaning and making sure my to do list will become empty. Ironically, a new list starts to form while working away the old one. Anyways, I start to digress once again.
The past year I’ve learned that it’s goodimportant, to go outside every now and then. Yesterday was such a “let’s go outside day!” and I had a mission: try to capture typical autumn-mushroom-pictures.
These are non edible so please don’t try to eat your screen!
I live in a city close by the sea and went to the dunes and forest with family yesterday, to try and take some autumn pictures. It was a beautiful clear sky and I was able to see the sea from a distance. The picture above doesn’t look like a typical Dutch landscape, but the other pictures in this post taken from the same location, probably will. 🙂
